Metz is expanding its product range with a sophisticated solution in the audio segment. The new Metz Sound System guarantees world-class surround sound. For the Metz Sound System 80 and the Metz Sound System 100, a single space-saving component suffices to generate an inspiring sound experience. The technology from premium sound specialist Canton offers exceptional home cinema atmosphere and perfect stereo sound. Both basic versions can be expanded to a create fully fledged 5.1 surround sound system with an additional component, the Metz Sound System LS 5.1 W. While the new audio package offers a home cinema experience in a new quality, everything stays the same in terms of operability. Via the Metz television all functions can be controlled with the familiar Metz remote control. Even external input devices can be connected to the new system solution, thus making an additional audio system unnecessary. Digital radio stations can also be played on the Metz television via the Metz sound system. The new Metz system solution thus becomes the multimedia centre of any living room.

Metz Sound System 80

Due to its size, the Metz Sound System 80 ideally complements any new Metz 32 or 37 inch television*. The fully active 2.1 virtual surround sound system, featuring a bass reflex system with a 3 bass driver chassis, offers particularly demanding home cinema fans an unforgettable surround sound experience without relying on speakers dispersed throughout the room. Brilliantly clear bass sounds are also guaranteed thanks to the integrated subwoofer. The powerful 300 watt, fully active 2.1 speaker system ensures perfect stereo sound and virtual surround sound. In addition, for the Metz Sound System LS 5.1 W a module can be integrated later by a specialist dealer. The system is wirelessly connected to the rear speakers, thus creating a fully fledged 5.1 surround sound system.

Metz Sound System 100

The Metz Sound System 100 is particularly well suited for combination with the new large format 37, 42 and 55 inch Metz televisions*. 350 watt output guarantees an unforgettable sound experience with finely-nuanced sounds and powerful basses. In contrast to the Metz Sound System 80, the wider version of the fully active 2.1 virtual surround sound system contains a bass reflex system with a 4 bass driver chassis. The single space-saving component of the Metz Sound System 100 ensures perfect stereo and surround sound that allows the viewer to experience every action scene more intensely. As with the Metz Sound System 80, a module or the Metz Sound System LS 5.1 W can be retrospectively integrated by a specialist dealer. This module is wirelessly connected to the rear speakers, thus creating a fully fledged 5.1 surround sound system.

Metz Sound System LS 5.1 W

The Metz Sound System LS 5.1 W offers genuine sound specialists the opportunity to connect two rear speakers and one wirelessly controlled external amplifier in addition to the Metz Sound Systems 80 and 100. This expands the brilliantly clear, fully active 2.1 virtual surround sound of the two entry-level versions with an additional 2x80 watts of output and creates a fully fledged 5.1 sound experience with even more precise spatial depth. A module is retrofitted to expand the basic versions, which is connected to the external amplifier via a 2,4 GHz transmission path. The external amplifier in the back of the room can thus be placed in any desired location. The two radio-controlled rear speakers are connected to the amplifier via cable and can either be attached to the wall or fixed to speaker stands.

Easy-to-use via the Metz operating menu

The highest quality technology doesn’t have to be complicated. The Metz Sound System can be comfortably controlled via the familiar Metz operating menu, without requiring a second remote control. The clearly structured user interface with precisely defined, highly legible fonts makes using the audio system child’s play.

A great deal of expertise

The Metz Sound System is freighted with decades of expertise by Germany’s leading speaker specialist Canton. The virtual surround sound solutions stand for large-scale home cinema with little effort or maximum listening pleasure with minimum installation. The centrepiece of the technology developed for the fully active 2.1 virtual surround sound systems is formed by the integrated subwoofer. The system also contains the complete control electronics including the audio interface. The result is a complete sound field, which is otherwise only possible in 5.1 W systems. To this end the individual channels of a multi-channel recording are processed in a special frequency-specific procedure and mixed on two channels so that a rounded surround sound experience is created when played back without rear speakers.

Just like Metz LCD televisions, the Metz Sound System is only available through authorised CE dealers, thus ensuring that an excellent product is supported by the corresponding advice and service.
