Glossary

100 Hertz
The Metz 100-Hertz DMC technology doubles the frame rate of an LCD TV, thereby retaining full sharpness even with animated scenes, i.e. motion blur is avoided. Together with dynamic motion compensation (DMC) [see also mecavisionHD+], which interposes algorithmically-computed frames, this enables optimised motion display with an even smoother overall flow.
10-bit signal processing
In contrast to conventional 8 or 9-bit circuitry, the Metz 10-bit resolution ensures even more bandwidth. This results in maximum signal quality with brilliantly sharp television pictures – an advantage especially evident during very dark movie scenes.

D
Dynamic motion compensation (DMC)
Key component of the mecavisionHD+ picture technology: sophisticated processors and complex algorithms (vector-based deinterlacing) ensure smooth display of animated scenes. The procedure optimises the calculation of the picture contents, thereby providing improved motion flow. This concept has been refi ned in TV sets with Metz mecavisionHD+ technology. Here the procedure even works with high-defi nition signals (HD).
