The Metz Linus 42 FHDTV 100 R and Metz Linus 42 HDTV 100 offer fantastic picture quality and an impressive, voluminous sound. To achieve this, the most modern LCD technology is used. Both the colour and motion display benefit equally from the combination of mecavisionHD+ picture optimisation and 100-hertz technology. This achieves brilliant, pure, full colour tones while ensuring motion display that is as natural as possible. Scrolling text is outstandingly clear and easy to read.  The sharpness of the picture is maintained, even with quick camera or object movement. Flowing, smooth motion display is achieved in 24p mode, even with movies.

Award-Winning Operating Menu: Smart and Well-Structured

The Linus 42 FHDTV 100 R and Metz Linus 42 HDTV 100 features the award-winning Metz operating menu with its well-structured, appealing user interface and smart, intuitive access to the functions. Navigating through the menu of a Metz TV set is fun! The Tri-Star menu can be tailored to different needs: the scope of operation can be reduced in three stages, depending on whether you want to get into the technical details or concentrate on basic functions. Moreover, the two LCD TVs are equipped with soft-touch sensor fields for direct control on the set. A new, highly legible OLED plain-text display for the station name and time and the new remote control made of brushed aluminium are additional assets enhancing the Linus.
 

Excellent user menu: intuitive and well thought out

In the Linus 42 FHDTV 100 and the Metz Linus 42 FHDTV R the excellent user menu is integrated: the attractive user interface is easy to follow with logically set out functions that are intuitive to use. It’s fun to navigate through the menu of a Metz television. At the same time the Tri-star menu can be tailored to individual needs: The controls can be set to three different levels, depending on whether the user wants to get into technical details or just wants to concentrate on the basic functions. On top of this both LCD TVs have sensor fields so they can be operated directly, with the gentlest of touches. A new particularly easy to read LED-display for channel name and time further emphasises the quality of the Linus-Models.

Vibrant Sound Quality

On the Linus 42 FHDTV 100 R and Metz Linus 42 HDTV 100, the SRS WOW® audio system optimises the acoustics of the elegant LCD TVs, which are further improved by a two-way audio system and a bass-reflex system. You can enjoy the high-quality sound in various ways: either directly via the TV speakers or via headphones.
For even more surround sound, multi-channel audio fans can connect the multi-channel sound (e.g., 5.1 Dolby Digital) of the TV set, which is provided via the digital output (optical), to the decoder of their stereo system.

Full Connectivity

Various digital and analogue interfaces make the new Metz LCD TV a veritable multimedia hub. No less than three HDMI sockets are available for high-end digital picture quality! Additionally, a DVI-I interface serves the analogue side and the digital side of a computer. Handy: the new JPEG photograph display can be used via the USB interface in order to show photographs in a representative environment. Additionally, a Linus set also offers the proven connectivity options of the analogue world. The YUV input sockets, three SCART sockets, and front sockets can be used to connect audio and video devices like camcorders or headphones. What is more: two slots for CA modules with Smart Cards, which can be used to watch various Pay TV channels, are accessible from the outside. Matchless connectivity!
