Metz Chorus range

The new Metz Chorus range follows in the footsteps of the successful Metz Puros, mirroring the elegant two-tone design and high-quality technical features which have been loved for years. The new Chorus 37 LED 100 Z and Chorus 32 LED 100 Z models come in two colour options, both with exquisite embossed film detailing, and, thanks to state-of-the-art LED picture technology, integrated reception for DVB-T/-C/-S2 and brilliant sound quality, they provide a truly entertaining viewing experience. The integrated “time-shift television” function is particularly convenient, as is the option of archiving TV programmes on an external storage device using USB recording. 

LED, Full HD, HDTV and mecavisionHD picture technology

Superior picture quality – that’s the Metz Chorus family standard. And the reason why the new models are equipped with Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and high-quality Edge LED technology. The brightness of each of the up to 16 (depending on screen size) individual LED light source segments at the edge of the display is modified independently of the others. Contrast and particularly dark scenes are thus represented more realistically and energy efficiency can be further increased. In this way, the energy consumption of the TV is reduced by up to 40 per cent (in comparison to CCFL technology). In addition to this, a 100Hz circuit produces flowing, precise movements. Outstandingly sharp HDTV pictures are received without additional set-top boxes via an integrated triple tuner for terrestrial, cable and satellite reception.

Exceptional sound quality

It’s not just the picture quality that is of a superior standard. The premium sound module in the Chorus scores points with its rich sound and clear speech playback. The clean, interference-free representation of treble and bass tones is the real benefit of the mecaSound+ sound system. The precisely balanced sound can be enjoyed via the Chorus's integrated audio system or through headphones. For real surround sound devotees, the Chorus is equipped with an intelligent interface. In this way the television can be connected to the premium Metz sound system and the highest quality surround sound experienced.

USB recording and “Timeshift television”

A special feature offered by the new Metz Chorus is the “timeshift” function. At just the touch of a button on the Metz remote control, a live programme can be paused or the last scene watched again. With an integrated USB memory, the new models can support pauses lasting 130 – 300 minutes in SDTV quality or 70 – 120 minutes in HDTV quality. Furthermore, with the Chorus models it is possible to record programmes via an external USB storage device and archive these for an extended period – and programming is child’s play with the integrated electronic programme guide (EPG).

Connections for every requirement

The Metz Chorus provides numerous connection ports on the rear and side of the device. Three HDMI sockets (one on the side and two on the back) enable digital picture transmission. Your photos can be viewed quickly and easily via USB connection. In addition to this, a CI+ and HD+ compatible slide-in slot for CA modules is accessible from one side. This makes it possible to receive Pay TV channels and operate them in the usual OSD. A digital in and output allows the connection of peripheral digital audio devices. What’s more, analogue devices can be connected via a Euro/AV socket. Side-mounted analogue connections are also taken into account, so you can, for example, plug in your camcorder or headphones.

Enjoyable operation is ensured courtesy of the straight-forward design of the Chorus’s interface. Precise, easy-to-read text is complemented by a userfriendly layout. The Metz Tri-Star menu, which is scalable to two levels, is particularly convenient. The user can decide whether they want to go into more technical detail or whether they wish to concentrate on basic functions. A high-quality and clearly designed remote is the perfect finishing touch to the Chorus’s extensive equipment package.
